@MathPiHanan

As a professor, did you secretly hope that Cristine would go all the way to the PhD level?

@MathPiHanan

What was something Cristine struggled with during her study? Has she overcome that?

Could also be interesting: What's your prof's opinion on millennials/older gen Z getting Master's degrees or certificates "just" to boost their resumes rather than for the love of the topic? (for example, I'm aware of data science and public health masters programs being treated like this, not sure if criminology sees some of the same)

As a professor and a hooman bean, what do you wish kids/people were taught at school that people could really benefit from in society/our day-to-day life?

How does she feel that the value of the degree has changed over the years as more and more people have university degrees?

Dear SimplyProf, I’m curious what made you decide to pursue higher education at the field of criminology and how have you ended up as a professor at the university?

I want to build more a relationship with my professors but I don’t always have questions to go to office hours, any suggestions on how to?

@moondragon1754

Kinda a joke question but, How good of a student was Cristine?

@peacechickification

Let’s be honest, you made that hair colour choice because it was 2011, lol. I think my q for your prof is what students do they keep in touch with, and why? How much do you recommend students taking advantage of office hours? (In my second year of accounting at George brown college)

@leoniegrosse9121

Do you still read essays with new, innovative or generally really interesting points after presumably many years of teaching or is it more or less the same every year?

@melissakolodziej539

How did your professor become a professor? What are all the ways someone could end up being a professor?

2 years ago | 45

@teiteika

Ooooh Oooh! I would love to hear about her experience progressing through academia and the challenges/stress/pros and cons of the tenure track system profs have to go through! Would be great for those of us slightly older viewers considering academia

What advice do you have for shy students navigating University? I find going to lectures and tutorials quite intimidating, especially considering I started my degree with online learning. We have an approach to learning where there is a mixture of in-person and online classes currently, and despite enjoying the experience of being on campus, it's quite frightening.

What is the most underrated thing that students do that professors appreciate

How is she coping with pandemic teaching? Is she okay? And, how does she think universities can meet the needs of the next few incoming classes who have had a very irregular highschool experience and may be ill-prepared for university?

In addition to the prestige of being a professor, what other pros of the professorate?

@ahoweO7

Is criminology as interesting as it seems? What advice would you give people to protect themselves from becoming a victim?

What extracurriculuars or other things (honors society, participating in a sport, community service) are most beneficial to have on a college application?

What is their field of research, what are they working on currently and how did academia change in the past decade?

When you had Cristine as a student, did she stand out to you as someone who would become successful in the field of criminology?
