I'm not a musician, but I love music and definitely like the passion, dedication and enthusiasm that Rick displays every time a new video is out. I was anxiously waiting for the "Now And Then" video because it gives me an understanding of how music is put together. Rick, I hope Paul and Ringo choose you to have the interview with. You, so well diserve it! Blessings and thank you for everything that you do!!!

Well done Rick! Great review of the track - my family and I think you’re right, although now that we’ve got this “new” song, we would never wish it had been left undone 😇

I love this song. The point about it feeling both old and new is actually something I like. It is a capstone. It is a song of wistful farewell. It’s the sound of the now and the song of the then.

Loved your breakdown of Lennon’s melody on this song.

Rick, I'm hoping and praying that you can get Paul and Ringo into an interview. I'd wager that your platform is one of the fairest but also most musically related channels for such a conversation. I'm sure the big networks are going nuts trying to make it happen, but anything they do will be fluff and emotion, most likely. Keep at it Rick and keep up the excellent work. All the best.

Watched it closing up the office yesterday. Was very eye opening. A coworker I talk to music to had a good time watching the Rick's video then the song. I watched the documentary at home. Big time thumbs up.

Awesome! I really enjoyed this tune, in part because my expectations going in where nil. Has a refreshing, easy flow and Lennon's vocals are remarkable.

Agree it is a beautiful melody and Lennon's voice shows a vulnerable honesty. Lyrics feel like they are not the final draft, but close. Still a song in-progress. However, how amazing how AI pulled out the cassette vocal--and whatever processing was incorporated, besides Paul doubling the vocal, (but low in the mix)--giving Paul and Giles something to work with. I see this as a worthy project that completes the 3 song collection that Yoko gave to the remaining Beatles to include "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love", included in the mid-90s Anthology series. To me, it is not a Beatles song, as Lennon was not in the Beatles at the time of the demo recording. It is a solo Lennon song, proper, that has been adopted by former remaining members of The Beatles and falls short of having the full-blooded all hands on deck involvement of all the parties that made up the magic of The Beatles, including George Martin, and Geoff Emerick. But good on them for doing this. Too bad they couldn't run "Free As A Bird" thru AI program, to fix Lennon's vocal, which sounds thin and mismatched, sonically, with the then-contemporary '90s production.
