The debut season finale of "House of the Dragon" set the stage for an epic civil war – dragons fighting dragons, kin fighting kin. And now, the battle for the Iron Throne and the power over the Seven Kingdoms that comes with it is set to commence this summer. The highly anticipated second season of the "Game of Thrones" spinoff is set to premiere June 16 on HBO. Picking up where Season 1 left off, it will chronicle the upcoming war between factions fighting for King Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney) and Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) over which of the Targaryens will rule Westeros.

The only unserious thing is the screen time this show gives to Ewan's character. Aemond was the breakout character of the first season with the coolest design who attracted many viewers to the show, sold merch etc and he gets completely sidelined. Every other actor already has their "Emmy tape" and Ewan gets nothing. Aemond's return from Storms end - cut, Aemond and Alicent fighting after - cut, Aegon and Aemond's relationship - cut, Aemond's emotions regarding B&C killing his nephew - cut etc etc.

It's nothing more than an imitation of Game of Thrones. Of course, the story takes place in the same universe, and of course, it was written by the same author, but the series itself, from its introduction to the characterization of the characters, wants to make us feel like we are watching a continuation of GOT. It lacks personality.
