So wholesome and encouraging to see someone like Lucy work their way up to such a prestigious award, especially when they came from nothing and earned everything they have the hard way; with good old fashioned hard work and dedication. Lucy really didn’t even have a noteworthy background in (or established following from) streaming or playing chess. I frankly didn’t even know she was as successful as she was in the sector until reading about it on Reddit these past few months (sidenote: I know Reddit has lots of shitposts these days, but there are still some pockets of people genuinely sharing reliable information). Then reading the comments on this post - and seeing all the testimonies from people who have been touched and inspired by Lucy’s dedication and recent success - just really helped me to realize how real her success story truly is. Of course, a huge shoutout to Levy as well. His support of Lucy throughout this journey cannot be overlooked as a HUGE reason for her success. He has such an admirable and supportive character - never showing frustration or letting it hurt him to be outshined by Lucy - but instead ALWAYS remaining supportive and proud of the woman he loves. Despite being in a position where many men would undoubtedly feel uncomfortable/jealous, he never tried to “one up” her or make excuses for being the inferior content creator - but instead embraced his role and let her take the lead. Something a lot of people can learn from. And of course, let’s not forget Levy is a good content creator and chess player himself! We should all appreciate the time and effort he’s contributed to the chess community, as minimal as it may be. As chess fans, we should appreciate ANYONE who puts time and effort into creating content for us, regardless of the quality of their content. Just because he’s not as talented or entertaining as most creators, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t appreciate his efforts and love for the game. Again, congrats Lucy. Absolutely incredible to watch your journey to success here on YouTube and in the chess scene in general. Go out and celebrate, you deserve it!

Very well deserved! Your channel is one of the very few channels I started to binge watch and it also encouraged me to study and play chess more and more. I used to be around 700, Now I’m around 1000 and still going thanks to the advices and guidance that you provide especially with the “How to lose at chess” videos haha I learned what all mistakes one should not commit while playing a chess game but also had a lot of fun watching it.
