8 months ago, Casey passed away. She and Andrew had been married for 8 years. It’s been an impossibly difficult thing to go through, and we are still going through it, and will be going through it for a long time. We miss you so much, Casey.

Thanks to friends & fans who have checked in to send kind words or ask if we’re okay. To answer, all things considered, we are doing well: it’s just a lot to consider. Your check-ins and words of support have helped us along. We appreciate you thinking of us, especially Andrew, Casey, and their family.

Casey was lucky enough to have great health insurance through her work. But while in treatment, she met many people who weren’t so fortunate and were driven into catastrophic debt by our messed-up health care system. When Casey was in her final months, she set up a posthumous fund with RIP Medical Debt (now known as Undue Medical Debt) to cancel other people’s medical debt. Her fund has raised more than 1 million dollars—and because of the insane math of canceling debt, that amount has been able to get rid of around $150,000,000 of debt.

We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed and made this happen, and to Andrew for taking care of Casey in the last months and years of her life and championing her cause in the months since she has been gone. If you’d like to take part, every $1 will result in maybe as much as $150 of debt forgiven for a person or family in crisis.

For us, this chapter of life has meant a lot less video-making and a lot more being together, grieving together, loving each other, and thinking about what matters most to us. So we wanted to send this update to say we thank you for checking in and we’re on our way back, possibly to make a politician sing from space, a chicken fight a sheep, or who knows what.

We love you, Casey ♥️
